Our enterprising women’s fashion director Colleen Sherin shares her haunts (not hot spots) and her style (not flashy). Perhaps it’s unorthodox to recommend destination+clothing pairings, but fashion truly is integrated into every part of Colleen’s life. And besides, there’s something enticing about showing up at a new place looking exactly, precisely, right.

PIZZA AT ROBERTA’S
Most great New York pizza lies outside the realm of Manhattan. For her ideal pie, Colleen heads to Roberta’s in Bushwick, Brooklyn (take the L to Morgan). The toppings are always fresh because they grow their own produce in an outdoor garden. “The owner used to be in a band with my friend, and my friend brought me,” Colleen explains. “They do all these unusual toppings, like jalapeños.”

…IN A SUEDE JACKET FROM VINCE…
“I get really excited when I love something, and this jacket is perfect!” says Colleen, who takes advantage of the jacket’s hoodie-esque pockets and asymmetric zip when the wind picks up. “It’s so soft, and it almost molds to your body.”

…AND RAG & BONE LACE-UP BOOTS
“I would definitely go more casual and low-key for Roberta’s. It’s usually a mix of artists and musicians there,” she continued. “These boots exude this casual cool.”
