We at Saks are so excited for New York Fashion Week. See what our Fashion Directors are wearing; where they’re going and how they manage looking chic from show to show with great aplomb!

COLLEEN SHERIN, Women’s Fashion Director
Mantra for New York Fashion Week: Keep Calm and Carry On
Must-have accessories: Christian Louboutin booties, alternated with Repetto ballet flats.
Mode of transportation: Taxis and my own two feet!
Most looking forward to seeing: Marc Jacobs, Derek Lam, Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone and Altuzarra.
Best party of the week: I suspect it may be the Proenza Schouler party after their show…
What will you wear: A Proenza Schouler dress, of course!
Must-haves for the week: My BlackBerry Bold 9780, Moleskine notebook, Uni-ball Vision Elite pen in violet, Fisherman’s Friend lozenges
Dinner reservations have been made at: Indochine. Will also be making pit stops at The Standard hotel.

ERIC JENNINGS, Vice President & Fashion Director of Menswear, Home, Food & Gifts Men’s Fashion Director:
Mantra for New York Fashion Week: Keep it real, guys. You had your “peacock” time at the beginning of the fashion season in Italy, now it’s time for the ladies to shine!
Must-have accessories: I’ll be sporting some Gucci loafers, Church’s brogues and Del Toro slippers throughout the week.
Mode of transportation: Taxi, livery cab and hoof. Whatever it takes to get there!
Most looking forward to seeing: Michael Bastian, Rag & Bone, Y-3.
Best party of the week: I’m more of a dinner party guy. And there is never time to change before going out, so what you see me wearing at the first show of the day is what I will be crawling home in late at night! But you’ll never see me without a jacket and pocket square.
Must-haves for the week: Oliver Peoples or Mosley Tribes sunglasses, Chapstick, Seam ripper, Tape measure, Hand sanitizer (a big must!)
Only at Fashion Week: Just this summer at the kick off of men’s fashion week in London I was able to meet Prince Charles at private reception in St James Palace Apartment. And then a few days later in Florence, while waiting outside our hotel for the annual Cucinelli dinner, Madonna drove right by in a convertible filming her new music video. (Side note: I just downloaded the video and I made the cut.) You can’t make this stuff up!
