Gloria Erani and Audrey Nasar are admittedly not trend-hunters. “We love style, but our style isn’t traditional. We like quirky, interesting things,” says Erani, one half of the duo that founded Urban Cricket in 2009. Nasar and Erani, often found in distressed boots, easy jeans and great jackets are known for their hand-illustrated and hand screen printed t-shirts featuring subjects ranging from the nostalgic (a cartoonish rendition of a vintage typewriter) to the esoteric (an abstracted fire escape). We invited the designers to get inspired at Saks and interpret a Hervé Leger bandage dress, Garrard black and white diamond Double Wing pendant and Shalimar Parfum Initial from Guerlain, for a limited edition series created exclusively for SaksPOV.
