Arielle Nachmani is that girl. That impossibly chic, yet perfectly casual and always unique dresser that leaves you thinking, Hey, I why didn’t I think of putting that together?

Arielle is the incredibly popular, oft imitated, style maven behind the blog Something Navy. The twenty-something New Yorker launched Something Navy in August 2010 styling everything from vintage pieces to the latest designers to utter perfection. SaksPOV invited Arielle to tackle one of the most coveted, but possibly the most complicated trend for spring- printed denim. Here, Arielle styles jeans and shorts from J Brand’s newest collection at Saks and the results, well they not only have us drooling — they have us shopping! Follow us over the next week as we unveil each look from our exclusive SaksPOV photo shoot!

Saks asks, Arielle answers…

My style… Changes every single day and is inspired by my many moods — thanks to my Gemini persona.

Something Navy…. has many meanings to me. It is my personal diary, it is my growth and maturity, and it is what shaped me into who I am today. My blog has been there for me through many things and has been the best way to express who I am, how I’m feeling, and how I’ve grown in the past few years. A few weeks ago, I sat down on my computer from 4pm to 7pm going through my entire blog from post number one. It was surreal.

The best part of my job… is that it makes me happy. I love doing it, I love putting looks together, and I love getting e-mails or comments from people letting me know that I’ve inspired them in any way.

My favorite designers…change all the time also, but I love Acne, Isabel Marant, Chris Benz, Viktor & Rolf and Givenchy.

On partnering with Saks and J Brand…I had the best time on the Saks and J Brand shoot! Each look is something I’d wear on any spring day in New York City. The first look with the floral shorts and the green Theyskens’ Theory blazer is a look I adore.

What inspires me… Living in New York City is probably the most influential and inspiring place when it comes to fashion. Everything in the city has inspirational potential. Seeing a random girl or guy on the street or on the subway, displays in stores, music, buildings, architecture — everything adds a little something to my blog a day. Putting a look together comes from the inspiration and the feeling I get every day waking up on the 30th floor of my apartment building looking over New York City. No other place I’d rather be!
