The dress has an effortless flounce to it, with feminine knotting on the shoulder and a slim silhouette that’s anything but clingy. A drawstring at the waist completes the piece, giving it a formfitting look when tied or tunic-like shape when free. The best part is that it can go from day-to-night in a matter of minutes and travels easily for that last minute beach jaunt.
“Throw it on in a pinch for cocktails or lounging,” advises Veronica Miele Beard, cofounder of Veronica Beard with sister-in-law Veronica Swanson Beard. “It’s got a Bohemian ‘I’m not trying too hard vibe,’ yet it’s sexy and flattering. Wear it with a sheer pink shiny lip gloss, a dark, mysterious eye, beachy hair, a strappy sandal and you’ve got the quintessential Boho ‘evening at the beach look.’”
Swanson Beard plans on wearing the dress to her sister Claiborne’s “American Beauty” book release party in Los Angeles.
“It’s very ‘California Girl.’ I’ll wear it with great big wooden earrings and bangles and really high wood-stacked heels by Christian Louboutin,” she says.
